PANAMA:
Posada Terrorized by DNA
ON September 25, 2001, after Luis
Posada Carriles and his accomplices had refused on several occasions to submit
to DNA tests to demonstrate their direct link with explosives found in their
vehicle, the Panamanian authorities decided to use the powers afforded them by
law to force the suspects to hand over blood and hair samples.
Posada,
together with Gaspar Jiménez, Guillermo Novo and
Pedro Remón were taken to the Panamanian Institute
of Legal Medicine.
