Presidential Results
Official in 15 Days
The president of the
Tribunal Supremo de
Elecciones (TSE), Óscar
Fonseca, said today that
the results of Sunday's
presidential elections
will be official in 15
days, allowing for a
manual count of all the
ballots.

What was to be an easy and quick

Nacional (PLN) and Oscar Arias
Sanchez over rival Partido
Acción Cuidadana (PAC) and Ottón
Solís, has become the first
close election in the history of
Costa Rica.

Children
Elect Arias
Not
only Costa Rican adults voted
yesterday, but, also the
children. Beginning at 8am,
thousands of children were on
hand at the Museo de los Niños
to cast their vote. Of course,
the childrens vote is not
counted, but it has become an
indicator of the election
results.
Inmates
Ask the Win to Fulfill Promises
in Casting Vote
More than 5.000 inmates at Costa
Rican penintentiaries cast their
vote yesterday, with Oscar Arias
being the favourite. The inmates
who voted asked the winner,
whoever that may be, to fulfill
their promises.
