ATM's And Banks Saturated on First Day of Aguinaldo
Lines ups at the automated teller machines (ATM's) and banks on Tuesday were the highest for the year, as a combination of pay day and the first payments of the Aguinaldo meant an increase in traffic at financial institutions.

Guevara Moves Up In The Polls, Becomes Alternate Option To Chinchilla
A poll by Unimer for the daily Spanish languaga newspaper La Nación places Otto Guevara of the Movimiento Libertario (ML) party in second place with 30% support, behind Laura Chinchilla of the Partido Liberación Nacional (PLN) party with 43%, while Ottón Solís of the Partido Acción Cuidadana (PAC) party trailing in third with a 16% support.



Costa Rica Records 41st Death To AH1N1
Costa Rica has recorded its 41st death to the AH1N1 flu virus. The latest victim is a 51 year old man who died last November 29 at the Hospital Calderón Guardia.

The cost of living in Costa Rica has gone up and the latest report on basic prices and services by the Ministerio de Economía, Industria y Comercio (MEIC) confirms it.

Costa Rican officials are asking developed nations to reduce emissions by 45 percent by 2020. Costa Rican Environmental Minister Jorge Rodriguez says the country's proposal for next week's international climate change summit also calls for greater financial support to poorer nations.



Costa Rica Coffee Exports Fall in November
Coffee exports from Costa Rica plunged 50 percent in November to 32,200 60-kg bags compared with the same month a year ago, the national coffee institute Icafe said on Tuesday.
