The closures do not affect diplomatic relations between those countries, as it is only a cost cutting measure on the part of the Arias government.

At the close of the fifth Feria Bilingüe (bilingual job fair) going on at the Cenac, some 6.000 have come through the door looking to fill the 3.500 job positions offered by international companies operating in Costa Rica.
