First Leg Of Caldera Highway To Be Ready in Two Weeks
The traffic jams on the autopista Próspero Fernández between La Sabana and Santa Ana due to construction through the areas may soon be over. Or at least partially, as the the La Sabana and Escazú section of the "vía a Caldera" will be ready in two weeks.

Group Calls "Plan Escudo" A "Plan Látigo" For Workers
The Campaña Regional contra la Flexibilidad Laboral en Costa Rica, which has been fighting for worker rights in Costa Rica since 2004, says the "plan escudo" program announced by the government last month, to fight off the effects of the financial crisis, is taking advantage of the situation.

1.200 Km of Roads To Be Marked
Driving in Costa Rica, especially at night and in remote areas, is a trecharous endeavour, especially when there are no lines marking the centre of the road, nor the shoulders. The situation is made even worse during the rainy season.

Bilingual Job Fair Hailed A Success
The fifth annual Feria Bilugüe - bilingual job fair - was a success according to organizers.
 
Work crews paving the autopista Próspero Fernández  at the Escazú intersection. Transport officials say the La Sabana - Escazú section will be finished in two weeks alleviating construction. The section of highway will be completed in full by May, according to the MOPT.

March Is Expected To Be  "HOT"
Although the weather this month has been iffy, some rain, lots of wind, and many days with temperatures below normal, even cold as the night time temperatures in San Jose dropped to 14 Celsius on occasion, March is expected to be hot and dry.
