Houston Airport System
(HAS) announced
yesterday that it has
secured the required
financing to complete
the Juan Santamaría (San
Jose) international
airport from the
International Finance
Corporation (IFC), a
member of the world Bank
Group.
Taxi Fares Dropping Next
Week
Taxi fares will be a little cheaper beginning next week when the
approved fare drop of ¢40 colones for the first kilometre and ¢45
for each additional kilometre takes effect. The rate drop was
approved yesterday by the Autoridad Reguladora de los Servicios
Públicos (Aresep).

inflation rate down for
the first two months of
the year. According to
the Instituto Nacional

(INEC), the accumulated
