Arrears in payments of loans has grown
between August 2008 and January 2009, with
the biggest defaults in real estate, hotels
and restaurants, according to a report by
the Superintendencia General de Entidades
Financieras (Sugef).

Bus fares today drop between ¢10 and ¢360
colones on 712 routes around the country, as
the bus fare drop of 5.13% approved by the
Autoridad Reguladora de los Servicios
Públicos (Aresep) takes effect today.
