Fidel Castro Accuses the US of Giving Refuge to Terrorist of Cuban Origin
Cuban president Fidel Castro accused the government of the United States on Monday of the worst hypocrisy for offering refuge to Luis Posada Carriles and other terrorists of Cuban origin while launching a pretended crusade against international terrorism.

"They, the good who fight terrorism, have been converted into mythological figures of that society”, he said.

In a special TV and Radio national broadcast, the Cuban leader warned that the reactionary Miami media is creating conditions for the United States to give asylum to Posada Carriles” with all glory and not of the other world but of this one”.

Based on a research article of The New York Times and other US media, the Cuban President exposed the sinister history-file of Posada Carriles and asserted this terrorist and his accomplices are protected by the United States.

The whole world knows who took them in, trained, directed and protected them for more than 40 years, he stressed.

Changing a well-known phrase he said “the devil raises them and the same devil unites them” referring to the public and evident links between the Cuban terrorist organizations based in the US and the successive US administrations.

"That is clear, they treat him like a son”, said Fidel Castro with irony alter remembering the confesión of Posada Carriles to The New Cork Times that “I am not bothered by the CIA or the FBI and I remain neutral to them. Whenever I can help them, I do”.

Fidel Castro recalled that thanks to our information” Posada Carriles, Gaspar Jiménez Escobedo, Pedro Remon and Guillermo Novo Sampoll were captured when they planned to assassinate the Cuban President on occasion of being held in Panama the 10th Ibero-American Summit (at the end of the year 2000).

The group had planned to use dozens of kilograms of high-power explosives which would have left hundreds of victims among supporters of the Cuban Revolution who World attend the University of Panama´s main hall or auditorium.

In Monday´s speech, the Cuban leader also remembered that alleging humanitarian rehaznos “that holy lady called Mireya Moscoso” (former Panamanian president) insulted Posada Carriles and his accomplices in August last year.
