US Congressman Burton Urges Free Trade Accord
Indiana Republican Representative Dan Burton urged Costa Rica to approve a trade agreement.

Burton, during a visit by a US congressional delegation, also expressed concern about "violent" and "antidemocratic" events in Venezuela.

He says the Central America Free Trade Agreement isn't exactly what each side wanted, but it's close enough. He says both sides did not get everything they wanted.

Burton urged Costa Rican President Abel Pacheco to submit the agreement to the country's legislature for approval.

Burton also commented on the government of Hugo Chavez in Venezuela and said he would visit the South American country next month.
