Ministerio De Salud Close to Closing Down Legislature
The Legislative Assembly is full of rats - the four legged kind - and cockroaches, to the point where the Ministerio de Salud is almost ready to close down the entire building following complaints by workers.

"We have received reports which will be reviewed by the members of the Ministerio y Salud Ocupacional, which has yet to do one more inspection. All is a process..." said Carolina Guillén who is in charge of the Área de Salud del Cantón Central.

The health order that could come in the coming weeks would see the removal of people from the legislative buildings and establish a plan to remedy the situation.

Antonio Ayales, executive director of Congress, says that there already exists a plan to move the legislature to another building. "They will give us time to move", added Ayales.

The situation at the Legislative Assembly building has gotten worse in the last months, especially when a sewer pipe that runs under the building, precisely under the cafeteria and some offices, ruptured.

Officials estimate that it would take about three months to make the move. However, nothing will be done until the Ministerio de Salud takes action.
