Two killed in tank truck explosion in Venezuela
A tank truck exploded Saturday just outside the Venezuelan capital after colliding with other vehicles, killing two people and leaving 15 injured, firefighters said.

The brake of the truck was suddenly out of order and the vehicle collided with a liquefied gas truck running in front of it,said firefighters in Caracas. In the following pileup, the gas truck hit a bus and a car.

The tank truck exploded right after the collision, causing a big fire, according to the firefighters.

The explosion killed two, including the co-driver of the tank truck who was run over by vehicles from behind after jumping out of the truck when it exploded. A total of 15 were injured, seven of them seriously.

The fire was soon put out and the injured were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment, the firefighters said.
