left 900 persons evacuated and
claimed its first victims. The

Will Be Suspended
Workers at the Instituto
Costarricense de Electricidad
(ICE) will shut down the
institution today as they plan
to take to the streets in
protest in "defence of the
institution", demanding that the
Poder Ejecutivo and Legislativo
approve a law that would
strengthen ICE in the face of
the Tratado Libre de Comercio
(TLC) - free trade agreement
with the United States.

Taxi Was Really Drug Dealer
Calling a taxi in Quepos got you
more than a ride to your
destination, this according to
police who arrested 25 year old,
Vargas Tenorio, who in addition
providing pirate taxi services,
also used his taxi to distribute
drugs.
