Cubans Rely on a Victorious Fidel
Cubans are demonstrating they are ready and willing to overcome their new social challenge, led by a once more victorious Fidel Castro.

The evident challenge is the president´s announcement to the people of his need for a recuperation period after an intestinal operation caused by sustained bleeding, during which time his responsibilities are being handled by First Vice President Raul Castro and other high-ranking officials.

Confident in the continuity of the revolutionary process guaranteed by the Cuban people, the Cuban president expressed satisfaction for the mass response, aside from the obvious concern for his health, regarding commitment to boost production, defense and necessary social tasks.

The calm confidence of the Cuban people as they go about their daily tasks is in marked contrast to the frustration of Cuba´s enemies, who see no sign of the weakness they hoped for so long.
