Legislative Assembly Ordered To
Suspend All Projects Giving
Priority to TLC Approval
Following his meeting with U.S.
president, George W. Bush, Costa
Rican president, Oscar Arias and
his brother, the ministro de la
Presidencia, Rodrigo Arias,
announced yesterday that the
priority of the Legislative
Assembly will be the Tratado
Libre de Comercio (TLC) - free
trade agreement with the United
States (CAFTA).
Motorcyclists Will Be Allowed To
Pay Marchamo in Installments,
INS Announced
The complaint of messengers
using motos about the cost of
the 2007 Marchamo - the annual
circulation permit - prompted
the Instituto Nacional de
Seguros (INS) to allow
motorcyclists to pay their dues
in installments, as long as they
can prove they are working as
messengers.

A Cuban cycling squad will take
part in a competition scheduled
to take place in Costa Rica next
December 18 to 29.

Officially No
Johnny Araya, the mayor of San
José announced yesterday that
the "Tope Nacional" - the
national horse parade - will go
on as usual on December 26,
beginning at 1:00pm and that the
"Carnaval" is definitely a no,
as well as the cancellation of
the Zapote annual fair.
