No “Finning” at Sea
The General Attorney’s Office issued a warning to fishing authorities regarding the fact that caught sharks must arrive at port with their fins in their natural positions.

The ruling is aimed at ending the practice of cutting the fins of sharks at sea, known as “finning”, and bringing them bound to the bodies.

Finning is depleting the oceans of sharks, and it is prompted by the premium price that shark fins command in certain Asian countries.
