Intensive Police Operations Nets Two Suspects in Police Killing
The intense police effort in the Limón area has netted the arrest of two suspects in the killing of Fuerza Pública officer Mario González last Sunday. González was shot to death in the line of duty while trying to stop three suspects who has just robbed a nearby warehouse in Puerto Viejo de Limón.

The two men were in police custody yesterday after they were apprehended in San José. The men were driving a vehicle that police believe they purchased from the proceeds of the robbery. |

A third man, who police believe is still in the Limon area, is being sought.

Following the capture of the two men, police immediately in the areas of San Juan de Dios de Desamparados, Concepción Arriba and Abajo de Alajuelita, south of downtown San José.

Rafael Gutiérrez, vice-minister de Seguridad Pública, said that the two men fit the description by the Organismo de Investigación Judicial (OIJ) and have a long criminal history of robbery and armed assaults.
