unmen kill police chief, businessman in Mexico
Gunmen killed a police chief and a businessman in separate attacks in the south Mexican state of Guerrero on Monday, officers from the state's Attorney General's office told reporters.

The two attacks took place in Zihuantanejo, one of Mexico's main tourist attractions. Gunmen shot dead Police Chief Isidro Rangel and Jesus Bracamontes, a restaurant boss.

The two incidents came only a day after a murder in Chilpancingo, the state's administrative capital. The head of local Judicial Police, Emilano Portillo Lagunas, his wife and their bodyguards were killed as they were leaving a mall.
