Mexican, US, Canadian leaders
meet in Mexico
Mexican President Vicente Fox
welcomed U.S. President George
W. Bush and Canada's Prime
Minister Stephen Harper in
Chichen Itza, a Maya
archeological site in eastern
Mexico on Thursday.
The three leaders will meet on
Friday to discuss issues
concerning the North American
Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).
They will also discuss the
Northern American Security and
Prosperity Partnership (SPP),
which was signed last year.
Fox told the press that
migration issue will be on the
agenda when he meets Bush.
Fox and Harper will discuss
Mexico's request for extension
of a program for temporary
workers to more Canadian
provinces, trade and investment.
Chichen Itza, the site for the
meeting, is a world heritage
site declared by the United
Nations Education Science and
Culture Organization (Unesco).
