Costa Rica will show promotional Video During World Cup
Costa Rica will show a 180-seconds video on Costa Rican culture, natural environment, people and tourist and commercial sites in several public fora in Germany during the 2006 World Cup.

The video will be shown in giant outdoors screens in Hamburg, Berlin, Hannover, Gunzburg, Heidelberg and Frankfurt, Costa Rican Foreign Affairs Ministry said Friday, but it will also be shown on German TV and in some stadiums as part of the material produced by FIFA with information on the 32 participating countries.

The video is an initiative of the Foreign Affairs Ministry, the Costa Rican Football Federation, the Instituto Costarricence de Turismo (Costa Rican Tourism Institute) - ICT -, the Foreign Trade Ministry, the Foreign Trade Promoter, the National Tourism Chamber and private firms.

ICT will also invest us$6.7 million dollars in a German TV and press publicity campaign on peace, nature, football and the quality of Costa Rican products.

Costa Rica will play against Germany on June 9 on the first match of the World Cup in Munich. Six days later it will face Ecuador in Hamburg and on June 20 it will play against Poland in Hannover, the last Group A match.
