Contest To Eliminate Dengue
In an effort to eliminate Dengue, tire maker Bridgestone-Firestone and the Caja Costarricense de Seguro Social (CCSS) have announced a contest with a ¢1.000.000 colones prize for any community organization committed to an exercise an plan of action to eliminate the virus from their community.

The contest began yesterday and will continue to September and will take into account those projects that are creative in eliminating the virus and not cause damage to the environment.

The registration for the contest is open to all local community organizations, development associations and educational centres who will have a chance to win the big prize which will be announced on October 19. In addition to the ¢1 million colones prize, there will be two ¢250.000 colones prizes awarded as well.
