Sao Paulo's Congonhas
airport was reopened
Friday 10 days after TAM
Airlines' Airbus 320
landing accident killed
some 200 people.
Brazil's new Defense
Minister Nelson Jobim
headed an inspection on
Friday morning of the
runway and the
fuel-station destroyed
by the aircraft in the
accident.
Jobim, former president
of Brazil's Federal
Supreme Court, assumed
the post on Wednesday to
replace Waldir Pires,
who was strongly
criticized after the
deadly crash.
A TAM Airbus A-319
coming in from
Florianopolis was the
first airplane to land
after the Congonhas
airport runway reopened
at 12:23 local time
