Quintavalle  Accused By Investors of Fraud
Matteo Quintavalle, the Italian businessman who made the headlines first by his purchase of local soccer players, is in the news again, this time being accused of fraud by some of his investors.

A number of investors filed a complaint with the Fiscalía de Pavas, who is investigating the case of fraud by Quintavalle against his investors for the amount of us $4 million dollars.

In the meantime, Quintavalle, who says he is not hiding anything and he can be easily located, cannot leave the country while the investigation is ongoing.

The restriction on his leaving the country was signed by judge Roxanna Monge of the Juzgado Penal de Pavas, in the case file number 07-927-283-PE, where 17 Americans are claiming to have been duped by the outspoken businessman.

Another four men are being accused along Quintavalle under articles 216, 239 and 241 of the Código Penal, relating to credit fraud.
