Honduras Home to US Led Military Games
About 20 Latin American countries began anti-terrorist exercises in Honduras on Friday, under the aegis of the United States under the pretext of an alleged attack by the Al Qaeda network.

A Honduran Armed Forces communiqué noted the maneuvers east of Tegucigalpa, called Honduras-Commando Force 2007, will include marine, air and shelling operations.

Each nation will have a team of seven competitors to test their abilities in special and tactic operations, as well as practicing techniques and procedures for the war against terrorism and other evils threatening world peace.

The maneuvers, which will last until June 24, are attended by Bolivia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Jamaica, Nicaragua and Panama.

They will also count with the participation of forces from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, the United States and Uruguay.
