Leaking Roof Washes Out Costa Rican Legislature
During the heavy rains of this week that affected thousands, leaving dozens of homes completely damaged and hundreds more flooded, Costa Rican lawmakers  were forced to abandon their session on Wednesday, as water poured through a leaking roof onto the Legislature floor.

Television images showed water falling through the ceiling onto seats and the 57 lawmakers present rapidly agreed to end the session.

"It rained on me today in a different way to normal," joked the president of the Legislative Assembly, Francisco Antonio Pacheco.
