Youths Protest Referendum Results
A group of 50 youths promoting the "No" vote last night gathered to burn flags and posters of the "Si" in front of the Legislative Assembly.

The group did not accept the majority vote results and chanted profanities against the Tribunal Supremo de Elecciones (TSE), Costa Rican president, Oscar Arias and others who headed the "Si" vote.

The protestors alleged fraud and that "democracy" was lost as the preliminary vote results began to come in favouring the "Si".

The situation did not get out of hand as members of the Fuerza Pública (police0 were on hand.

The youths, armed with sticks and stones, slowly broke up the protest and calm was restored.
