Guatemalan Politician
Deflates Bush
Miguel Angel Sandoval,
former presidential
candidate for the
Guatemalan National
Revolutionary Unity (URNG),
condemned Friday US
President George W.
Bush's speech, where he
launched new plans on
Cuba.
The revolutionary leader
told Prensa Latina that
Cuba's independence
bothers the United
States and so it tries
to ignore its political
process.
URNG assistant general
secretary Celso Humberto
Morales said that is
another example of
Washington's desire to
destroy the Cuban
Revolution, referring to
Bush's speech, where he
incited violence against
the island's government.
The Manuel Galich Group
stated that Bush will
bump into the same wall
as previous US
governments, the
combative willingness of
the people and the
solidarity of those who
see in Cuba the
inspiration of another
possible world.
"The Dominican Republic,
Chile , Grenada, Vietnam
and now Iraq are
eloquent examples of
what people are
expecting when the evil
empire, the United
States, promises
"freedom" and
"democracy," that group
stated in a release. |
