Anti-Terror Struggle at Cuba Event
Anti-terrorism movements and criminalization of social confrontations will be analyzed in the second day of the 7th Hemispheric Meeting on the Struggle against Free Trade Agreements and for People Integration.

Over 500 delegates from 31 countries meeting in Havana will also debate US military bases in Latin America, with emphasis on current attempts to militarize the region.

Also included are panels on environment, climate change, defense of natural resources, global warming and its repercussion on water, oil and gas.

Today"s agenda includes discussions on biofuels, food sovereignty and the role of transnational companies in producing food.

The event, convened by the Continental Social Alliance and its Cuban Chapter, will also include the construction of strategies to resist neoliberal policies.

Also on the list are challenges of social movements in Latin America and the Caribbean and the new continental integration movement.
