Berrocal For President
The former ministro de
Seguridad Pública,
Fernando Berrocal, made
his intention to seek
out the Partido
Liberación Nacional (PLN)
nomination for the
presidential elections
in 2010.
Berrocal, accompanied by
militant PLN members
make up his election
committeee which is
headed by his wife,
Grettel Obando, made the
formal petition for his
nomination to the party.
The PLN party has until
December to decide on a
candidate.
Vice-president, Laura
Chinchilla, has yet to
announce her decision
for the party
nomination.
