Costa Rican Wins 10th
Stage in Costa Rica
Costa Rican Jose Adrian
Bonilla won the 10th
stage of the Tour of
Costa Rica cycling on
Tuesday. He clocked a
time of 35 minutes 36
seconds, while his
fellow countryman
Gregory Brenes stayed as
the overall leader.
The race restarted on
Tuesday with a time
trial in the mountainous
zone of San Pedro de
Poas (25 km northwest of
San Jose), since the 9th
stage was suspended on
Monday for security
reasons.
Bonilla, from the Costa
Rican team BCR-Pizza
Hut, was first to finish
the 14.5km of the stage.
The second was Julio
Perez, 30 seconds off
the pace and Costa Rican
Henrry Raabe finished
third 52 seconds behind
Bonilla.
Brenes finished fourth
in 36:44 but stayed as
overall leader with a
total time of 25:05:18.
Cuban Arnold Alcolea
remained in second in
the overall standings,
1:38 behind Brenes,
while Bonilla is third
2:03 adrift. |
