Prez's Girlfriend Doesn't Have To Concern Herself With The Trivialities Of Insecurity
At a time when public safety is a major concern for Costa Ricans and foreigners living and visiting Costa Rica, one Costa Rican does not have to concern herself with such trivialities. We talking about none other the the president's girlfriend, Geovanna Mendiola.

The online daily elpais.cr reports direct from outisde the house of Costa Rican president, Oscar Arias, Rohrmoser, when a group of protestors camping out in front of the prez's house were caught by surprise when a motorcade made of up tránsito officials, members of the Fuerza Pública (police) and the prez's security agents, with blazing sirens, pulled to the driveway and saw two women getting out of the presidential car.

The two women were none other than Mendiola and a friend.

It appears that Casa Presidencial has authorized the full and exaggerated security detail to the Aria's squeeze.

Witnesses told elpais.cr that forming the security detail were 10 bodyguards and agents of the presidential security team and a same number of police officials riding in three patrol cars (plates 8-2074, 8-2671 and 8-3272) and a tránsito official on a motorcycle to clear traffic.

On the presidential couple leaving the private home at 9pm, witnesses say security agents threatened then when the questioned by public funds were being used to escort the president's girlfriend.

It appears that the friends of the president who enjoy the "mieles del poder" (honey of power) do not have to concern themselves with security like everyone else, the daily was quick to point out.
