Another Gringo Nabbed By
Interpol
Augustus Pat Saunders is
the latest American to
be nabbed by the
international police
organization, Interpol,
working with Costa
Rica's Direccón de
Intelligencia y
Seguridad (DIS) -
intelligence service.
Saunders, 48, wanted for
crimes realted to
dangerous drugs, was
arrested on May 7,
according to the DIS
log.
Authorities said that
the U.S. Drug
Enforcement Agency (DEA)
has been looking for
Saunders since 2007.
According to the
Interpol press release,
Saunders entered Costa
Rica in 2000, but did
not provide details of
the warrant.
Saunders is currently in
the country's
immigration service lock
up located in Hatillo 5
while waiting
extradition to the U.S. |
