Cost of Rice To Increase
The Corporación Arrocera
Nacional (Connaroz) is
joining the bandwagon on
price increases,
announcing that the cost
of rice will jump in
July, as it prepares to
make the purchase of
162.000 metric tons of
rice that is to supply
the country for the next
12 months.
Yesterday Connaroz
assured that it has
enough rice in storage
to last into July, when
the first 32.000 metric
tons of the purchase is
set to arrive and see
new prices at the
supermarket, although it
did not say what that
increase would be.
Connaroz also make a
call to all Costa Rican
farmers to get back to
basics and begin growing
rice again. |
