Orotina With Partial Closures
The road between Orotina and Caldera will have partial closures beginning on Monday as work continues on the San Jose - Caldera highway.

The ministra de Obras Públicas y Transportes, Karla González, said that three kilometres of the four lane road will be reduce to two beginning on Monday.

Álvaro Muelas, director general of the Autopistas del Sol, the constructor of the new highway, explained that work on the Orotina-Caldera portion includes improving the road surface, bridges and building of shoulders.

Muelas added that high tech machinery is being used in the road construction, to re-use much of the existing road material.

Drivers of the route are asked to use alternate roads to ease congestion.
