New Habano House in
Buenos Aires
Buenos Aires - Another
Habano House has been
opened in the financial
heart of Buenos Aires as
part of efforts to enjoy
a culture and a product
of an exceptional
quality.
"A place to take
pleasure in smoking
under a privileged
atmosphere in contact
with Cuban cigar, the
best in the world, has
emerged," said President
of the Puro Tabaco S.A.
firm, Carlos Laborde
short before cutting the
inaugural ribbon along
with Cuban Ambassador to
Argentina, Aramis Fuente.
The Buenos Aires Habano
House is a decorated
facility near banks,
hotels and stores,
created to please the
most demanding smokers
with pictures and
objects related to cigar
making and consumption.
This is the 137 such
House in the world and
the fifth in Argentina,
its director Fernando
Tejero said.
As a founder, Mexican
Rodolfo Velazco was a
special guest to the
ceremony. He said to be
moved as he remembered
the first such modest
place inaugurated on
December 2 1990.
He revealed that the
logo of this new
facility was designed by
a friend, an architect,
who donated his work in
solidarity, in exchange
for a token cigar box.
The music for the
ceremony was provided by
Argentinian quartet
Andrea Fridman, which
performed tangos and
milongas.
The new House in Buenos
Aires has a spacious,
cosy sale room behind
glass with shelves to
exhibit the prestigious
cigar brands from the
Island. |
