Floating Restaurant A Treat For Visitors Of San Lucas
Today the Isla San Lucas, the island that once held Costa Rica's infamous prison, is becoming a tourist attraction. And one of those attractions is flotating restaurant.

The floating restaurant is a joint project by the Asociación de Pescadores de Isla Venado, the Parque Marino, the Instituto Nacional de Aprendizaje (INA) and the Misión Técnica de Taiwán.

"We get a lot visitors. We fish for them want they want and we cook it for them. We have all types of fish", said Alejo Salas, manager of the floating restaurant.

The staff of the restaurant rotate their work shift in groups of six, each spending a week to work on the project's main activity, the cultivation of spotted snapper and to avoid stress.

"I like being at sea. We have all the conditions. It's different but it's nice", said Salas who added that it can also be stressful being so far away from civilization.
