iPhone Charger Story Cleared Up
Our story of Monday "New iPhone Charger A Killer" left some readers confused.

The new 3G iPhone is not officially available in Costa Rica, but mentioned in the news released by Apple as one of the countries affected by the charger problem.

The authorized Apple dealer in Costa Rica does not sell the iPhone. All the iPhones in Costa Rica have been bought outside the country and unlocked for use in Costa Rica. So why the mention in the Apple news release.

Apple is in negotiations with the Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad (ICE) to make the iPhone available to its customers as part of its new operating strategy. Although ICE officials deny publicly any such negotiations, the inclusion of Costa Rica by Apple in its new release says otherwise.
