Colombian Woman Denounces US
Violations
Bogota - Melgar,
in the Colombian department of Tolima, has
become today a nightmare for its dwellers
since the arrival of US soldiers to that
zone, the mother of a victim of abuses by
those officers stated.
Olga Lucia Castillo told on a phone call
with Venezuelan newspaper Panorama of the
sufferings of his daughter Jessika Beltran,
12, violated by Sergeant Michael Cohen and
contractor Cesar Ruiz.
"The night of those events, two US officers
of the "Colombia Plan" intercepted her and
obliged to take a soft drink and a glass of
liquor," Lucia said.
She explained that despite efforts done in
these two years, she has not achieved to do
justice. US soldiers have immunity in the
Colombian territory.
The Colombian mother stated that she
denounced those guilty at the Technical
Investigation Corps (CTI), but only received
intimidations to lift the demand.
