Chavez Decries Militarist Plans against
Venezuela
CARACAS - Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez
accused Holland of preparing an aggression
against Venezuela with the United States, as
part of the new world geopolitics of
domination of peoples.
In his speech during a meeting of the
Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our
Americas (ALBA) with social movements in
Copenhagen on Thursday, Chavez held Holland
responsible for the US military occupation
of the Aruba and Curacao Islands, in the
Caribbean, a few miles from Venezuelan
coasts.
The Empire is arming these two islands to
the teeth and filling them with warplanes,
CIA spies, US intelligence hitmen and
warships, he denounced.
Chavez gave his speech before thousands of
progressive activists at the Valvv Hall
Center in Copenhagen.
Holland should take into consideration the
independence of those territories, as
Britain should give back the Falkland
Islands to Argentina, he said.
While accusing Holland of preparing with
Washington an aggression against Venezuela,
Chavez recalled that Holland is a member of
the European Union and wondered what Europe
might say about that.
He urged European youngsters to join a World
Revolution against imperialism, capitalism
and death and for life and love, with an
ecological, energy, moral and humane
essence.
We are on the edge of the abyss, tomorrow
may be too late for life in the planet and
we have to fight with urgency, passion and
will to defeat capitalism and build a
radical, humane, strategic alternative
against the destructive capitalist model, he
stressed. |
