San Jose Airport Open
Many visitors to Inside Costa Rica wrote to ask how yesterday's earthquake would affect airport operations in and out Costa Rica.  The Juan Santamaria International airport is open and has not been affected by the 6.2 quake.

The questions mainly centred on news reports of the earthquake in Alajuela. The airport is located in Alajuela, but miles from the quake zone and the epicentre.

The ministerio de Transportes reported no problems with airport operations. None of the airlines schedules departures and arrivals have been affected.
