Venezuela, Brazil Sign 12 New Accords
Caracas - Venezuela and Brazil tightened links today with 12 new cooperation accords at the 5th Bilateral Meeting with President Hugo Chavez of Venezuela and peer Luis Innacio Lula da Silva of Brazil.

The statesmen witnessed the signing of agreements on energy, agribusiness and industry to develop chain production in strategic fields, including technology transfer.

Brazil and Venezuela will boost joint projects on electricity; will assemble two cold chains for cow meat and two plants to process fruits and vegetables, and another to assembly machinery, including and other technology, including meters.

They also agreed this year to sale Venezuelan fuel, including fuel for planes and ships, and assembling a plant of fertilizers.

Lula previously stressed on the importance of developing these sector in defense of national sovereignty, the path Venezuela currently follows.
