Air Comet Is Back With
Three Weekly Flights From Spain
The Spanish airliner, Air comet, is back in
Costa Rica with three flights daily between
Madrid, Spain, and San Jose, Costa Rica,
after an eight month hiatus, cancelling all
flights to Costa Rica.
The airline will fly Mondays, Wednesdays and
Saturdays, using its Airbus 330 (253 person
capacity) and A340 (261 person capacity).
Sonia Garro, director of the Transporte
Aéreo de la Dirección General de Aviación
Civil, confirmed the airline's decision to
return flying to Costa Rica.
Air Comet provided regular flights between
Costa Rica and Spain, but cancelled its
operations last September due to rising fuel
costs.
The airline will now offer charter service,
carrying up to 750 people a week booking
travel by way of a travel agency to Costa
Rica.
