24 New AH1N1
Flu Cases Confirmed in Honduras
Tegucigalpa - Hondura's Health Minister
Carlos Aguilar told media on Sunday the
nation had confirmed 24 new cases of the
A/H1N1 flu, bringing the country's total to
56 with 100 more cases to be confirmed.
Aguilar said that the patients were
recovering well, not a single one had to be
hospitalized, and the majority had returned
to their normal activities.
Aguilar said that the nation has a stockpile
of over 20,000 anti-viral treatments and no
one would go without the flu treatment if
needed.
The nation reported its first flu case of a
9-year-old girl on May 21. The second was on
May 28, in which a 35-year-old man arrived
in Tegucigalpa, after being deported from
the U.S. city of Florida.
