Nicaragua A(H1N1) Flu in 45 Cases
Managua - Nicaragua is concerned with
the raising number of human cases of A(H1N1)
Flu, which have reached 45.
Public Health (MINSA) Minister Guillermo
Gonzalez said 17 new cases were detected
among youth in one day despite tight control
established from the day the outbreak was
announced.
There are 40 patients in Managua, Masaya
(3), and Granada and Leon with one each.
Several schools, both public and private,
closed to stop the spread.
Health Minister Gonzalez called to stay calm
but media like El Nuevo Diario posts
alarming headlines like "Flu Spreads Fast,"
while Bolsa de Noticias says MINSA may issue
emergency measures.
Nicaragua is still the Central American
nation with least A(H1N1) flu cases and
Panama heads the list with 200. |
