Ticos "Blue Pill" Champions
Costa Ricans are champions in the consumption of the little "blue
pill", according to the manufacturer of Viagra, the pharmaceutical,
Pfizer Inc.
According to the company, Costa Rica has the largest increase in
sales in the region between November 2007 and November 2008.
The company says that Ticos consumed 149.264 pills, some 51.043 more
than its Panamanian brothers and 116.037 more than in Guatemala.
Pfizer says the sales of Viagra in Costa Rica has been in an upward
spiral since 2006 when it sold only 131.900 pills.
Experts say that the higher consumption of the blue pill in Costa
Rica is due to a more informed public and doctors.
However, Pfizer attributes the top sales record due to the fact that
the little blue pill has been in Costa Rica for 10 years and was the
first of the 'erection' pills to be known to Ticos.
