Spanish soccer group interested in
Nicaraguan Soccer
Managua - Spanish soccer Santa Monica Group
is interested in promoting soccer in
Nicaragua, spokesman from the Nicaraguan
Olympic Committee (CON) Moises Avalos said
on Monday.
Santa Monica, based in Madrid, considered
that the local soccer has future due to the
advances of the Nicaraguan soccer national
team and the construction of the new
National Stadium, Avalos told Xinhua.
Last weekend Marketing and Production
director from Santa Monica, Fernando Iginio
and Production chief Evaristo Cobos visited
Nicaragua as invited by the president of the
Nicaraguan Federation of Soccer (FENIFUT)
Julio Rocha.
According to Avalos, Santa Monica Group is
in charge of promoting and commercialization
the image of the Spanish Royal Federation of
Soccer.
"Santa Monica has as associated soccer clubs
to Sevilla, Bracelona, Valencia, Atletico de
Bilbao, Osasuna and Deportivo Huelva," Avalo
affirmed.
The delegates from Santa Monica Group met
with some directors of TV channels and
Avalos to learn about the context of the
local and Central American soccer.
Iginio and Cobos also visited Guatemala and
El Salvador, on Monday they visited Costa
Rica and Panama accompanied by Rocha. |
