REVA Electric Car Company (RECC) said it has
entered the Costa Rican market with the
launch of the REVAi electric car.
''We have received a lot of interest in the
REVA from the markets in Central America and
the launch in Costa Rica will help drive the
REVA into other markets in the region,''
RECC Deputy Chairman & CTO Chetan Maini said
in a statement from New Delhi, India.
Vehiculo Electricos Company will import and
distribute the REVA cars in Costa Rica,
which aims to be the first carbon neutral
country.
REVA is a brand of Bangalore-based REVA
Electric Car Company, which is as a joint
venture between Maini Group of India and AEV
LLC of California.
According to the company, the REVAi offers
benefits to user in terms of increased power
resulting in a higher top speed, 35% better
acceleration and grade ability. A new
optimized algorithm and higher efficiency
motor extends the range. In addition
features such as hill restraint and boost
power mode enhance
drivability.
