Panamanians Praise Disability
Sports in Cuba
BAYAMO, CUBA - Eric Diaz, president of the
Paralympics Committee of Panama, praised in
this city the experience and development
Cuba has reached in the practice of sports
for people with disability.
Attending the Second International Forum of
that specialty, held on Tuesday in the
capital of the eastern province of Granma,
Diaz praised the participation and results
of the island's disabled athletes in the
Para-Pan-American, Paralympics games, and
other competitions, the National News Agency
reported.
He also highlighted good cooperation
relations between both countries, and
support by Cuban methodologists and
technicians in several disciplines in the
development of sports in the Central
American nation.
The Cuban collaboration in the Panamanian
country is mainly aimed at preparing
physical education teachers better, to
include activities in people with special
cares. |
