Panamanian President to
Colombia on Economic Agenda
PANAMA - Panamanian President Ricardo
Martinelli will begin on Tuesday a three-day
official visit to Colombia, in which he will
tackle economic and regional issues,
official sources reported.
According to the state secretary of
communications, the Panamnian president will
also visit de cities of Medellin, Bogota and
Cartagena.
Martinelli will meet the executives of the
Public Company of Medellin, which provide
energy, gas, water and telecommunications
services.
It is also hoped the president attend the
World Economic Forum in Cartajena, where
more than businessman, officials and
executives of bilateral institutions will
discuss about the economic prospects, fight
against crime, inter-regional trade and
social investment.
Martinelli will also meet the Colombian
President Alvaro Uribe and Guantemalan
President Alvaro Colom to tackle regional
issues.
The delegation is made up of the Minister
Juan Carlos Varela (Foreign Affairs),
Alberto Vallarino (Economy and Finaces), and
Roberto Henriquez (Industry and Trade).
