ICE Opens Up International
Text Messaging
The Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad
(ICE) is now allowing international text
messaging to and from Costa Rican and
65 countries on its 3G, GSM and TDMA
cellular networks.
The state telecom says it has an agreement
with more than 150 operators around the
world to send and receive SMS text
messaging.
Each message will cost ˘17 cents (˘88.74
colones at today's exchange rate) to all
destinations.
The countries on the current list include
the United States, Canada, Mexico, Panama,
Nicaragua, Colombia and Spain.
