Guns N' Roses Concert Cancelled Due To
Faulty Stage
Promoters of the Gun N'Roses concert in
Costa Rica cancelled the show mid afternoon
on Friday, hours before the band was to take
to the stage, amid the angry outcry of fans
who lined up for the concert from the early
hours in the morning.
Apparently the weight of the band's big
screen collapsed the stage, forcing the
cancellation.
The show that was to have begun at 8pm local
time at San Jose's Estadio Ricardo Saprissa
will now take place on Tuesday at the Morera
Soto stadium in Alajuela.
Last minute scheduling allowed promoters
were able to strike a deal with the band,
moving the Guatemala concert scheduled on
Tuesday. The band is scheduled to take to
the stage on Monday at the Estadio Cuscatlan
in San Salvador and Tuesday at the Estadio
del Ejercito in Guatamela City.
The promoter, 28 Producciones, said that it
will need Monday to obtain all the required
permits for the Tuesday show and that fans
who do not want to attend the Alajuela
concert can get a refund on their purchases.
The reason for the change of venue is due to
the Saprissa stadium commitment to host the
Monster Jam event for next weekend.
